OUR PASTOR

Ptr. Rodney Diaz was born in a Christian family but it was only at His 12th years of existence in this world when he surrendered his life to the Lord and got baptized. He took his elementary and secondary years in Magallanes, Sorsogon and after graduation, he went to Manila to take his collage where he finished his two-year course, R&AC at G.I.T Manila and after a while took his engineering course, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineer at Technological Institute of the Philippines – Manila and he is a working student then. He got involved in a discipleship training of YWAM where he stayed while taking his engineering course. He wants to become a famous engineer but unknowingly to him, his Mom is praying for him to become a pastor which he doesn’t want to be. After he graduated from engineering, he got married to his wife on November 24, 1992, worked in an engineering firm and resigned on 1994.

He got into business after and became a leader of the church where he is attending by that time. While doing the business with his-in-laws, he and his wife got a problem with their business partners and they were separated with them after that problem and then they transferred to other church where God called him to become a pastor. It was August of 2006 when God called him to serve Him since their pastor resigned and until now he is the senior pastor of GMA Christian Alliance Church. To God be the Glory. Amen! Matthew 6:33

OUR CHURCH

The passion to plant a church here at Gen. Mariano Alvarez started on May 24, 1974 through the arrival of Mr.  & Mrs. Florence Lumigis and the family. They came from the Alliance Church in Zamboanga City, island of Mindanao. As church leaders and Christians for how many years, they felt passion for the lost souls who long for a church that will care for their souls here at GMA, a relocation center before. God work on that passion in their hearts and they decided to ask help from Pasay City Alliance Church to assist them in planting a church.

Months went by, after that survey no help came from the said church. As they are waiting the assistance from the church, the passion is still growing and burning. So the Lumigist took the initiative and went to see Ptr. Valmike Apuzen in Quezon City to ask help and yet they were referred to nearest church-the Pasay City Alliance Church.

As a start of the ministry, the Lumigis was having children extension classes in Area E, C and D and God blessed these ministries for more than 100 children came from different extension classes. For that early time, we don’t yet have a capacity to support the said ministry and it was turn over to the Southern Baptist Church.
